Mr. Miracle, also known as Scott Free, is a superhero appearing in DC Comics. Created by Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Mr. Miracle #1 (April 1971).
Scott Free is the son of Highfather, the ruler of New Genesis. As part of a peace agreement between New Genesis and Apokolips, he was traded to Darkseid, the tyrannical ruler of Apokolips.
On Apokolips, Scott was raised in Granny Goodness's orphanage, a brutal training facility designed to break spirits. Despite the horrific conditions, Scott maintained his hope and eventually escaped, fleeing to Earth.
On Earth, he became a world-famous escape artist, using the stage name Mr. Miracle. He is known for his unmatched skills in escaping traps and difficult situations, abilities honed during his harsh upbringing on Apokolips. He frequently battles Darkseid and his forces, striving to protect Earth and end Darkseid's tyranny.
